Job Description The Plumber is responsible for all aspects of installation, maintenance, inspection, operation, and repair of plumbing systems in assigned locations(s). Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs. Job Responsibilities Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workers Anticipates and responds to customer needs. Inspects assigned areas on a routine basis and performs maintenance where necessary to keep facility in functioning and serviceable condition. Completes daily, weekly, or monthly checklists of pre-scheduled building and equipment maintenance procedure. Repair and maintain plumbing, replacing defective washers, replace or mend broken pipes and open clogged drains. Reports on any major maintenance needs and recommends corrective action as appropriate. Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures. Operates plumbing machines and equipment to diagnose and clear mainline blockages. In order to meet our commitments, job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice. Qualifications Minimum of 1-4 years of plumbing experience required. Commercial plumbing experience preferred, in healthcare, industrial, or large-facility environments. Experience working with mainline plumbing systems, including 4-inch piping and larger. Demonstrated ability to install, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair commercial plumbing systems. Experience using plumbing machines and tools for mainline systems, such as augers, snakes, and related equipment. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and plumbing layouts. Knowledge of plumbing codes, safety practices, and compliance standards. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate with patients, staff, and leadership, and to follow safety, quality, and operational procedures. This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
