Lancaster, SC  Job Description This role leads commercial plumbing activities on a large, year-long construction project in Lancaster, SC. You will oversee rough-in plumbing installations, manage a crew, and ensure all work meets specifications and timelines. You will work primarily with cast iron, copper, and PVC systems, using your ability to read blueprints and perform high-quality installations with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Oversee and lead commercial plumbing rough-in installations on a large construction project in Lancaster, SC. Manage and direct a plumbing crew, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification. Interpret and work from blueprints to plan, lay out, and execute plumbing installations across various areas of the project. Install and assemble cast iron piping systems, including drainage and sewage lines, using appropriate methods and tools. Install copper piping for hot and cold water supply lines, ensuring durable and corrosion-resistant connections. Install PVC piping for water supply and drainage systems, ensuring proper alignment, support, and connections. Work with a variety of plumbing materials, including CPVC, PEX, galvanized steel, and stainless steel, as required by project specifications. Proficiently solder and join piping systems to ensure leak-free and reliable installations. Coordinate with the Superintendent, receive direction, and independently carry out assigned work without constant supervision. Monitor the quality of plumbing work performed by the crew and ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards. Assist in sequencing work and coordinating with other trades to keep the project on schedule. Maintain a safe and organized work area on active construction sites. Essential Skills Minimum 5 years of plumbing experience, specifically in commercial or industrial plumbing (required). Minimum 5 years of experience in a lead or foreman role overseeing plumbing crews (required). Proven experience with commercial or industrial plumbing installations, including rough-in work. Strong proficiency installing cast iron piping systems for drainage and sewage lines. Ability to solder piping systems proficiently and consistently to a high standard. Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints to complete plumbing tasks independently. Demonstrated ability to work with copper, PVC, and other common commercial plumbing materials. Capability to take direction from a Superintendent and then work independently with minimal oversight. Experience leading and coordinating a crew on active construction sites. Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, and installation best practices in commercial environments. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with CPVC (Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride) for hot water lines. Experience working with PEX (Cross-linked Polyethylene) for flexible water supply lines. Experience with galvanized steel piping for water supply lines. Experience with stainless steel piping in various plumbing applications. Comfort working on large, multi-phase commercial construction projects such as schools and detention centers. Ability to maintain productivity and quality while working independently and leading others. Why Work Here?
