JOB TITLE
Licensed Plumber/Plumber ApprenticeJob Type:
Full-time Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Licensed Journeyman Plumber or a Plumber Apprentice to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of residential and commercial plumbing systems and possess a current plumbing license with the state of South Dakota. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The model applicant should be able to perform various tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of all plumbing projects, as well as the ability to complete them efficiently and in compliance with safety regulations. Duties Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures (such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters) in commercial and residential structures. Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used. Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing challenges accordingly. Perform heavy lifting as required for various plumbing tasks. Possess strong communication and customer service skills Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and ensure proper functionality. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and handymen, to complete construction projects. Adhere to all plumbing building codes and regulations. Experience Strong understanding of plumbing systems, including water supply and drainage. Familiarity with the intricacies of working with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper. Knowledge of local building plumbing codes and regulations. General understanding of construction principles, site preparation (trenching, grading), and the ability to operate machinery or hand tools safely. A background in maintenance services or general construction is favorable. Knowledge of basic mathematics and measurement conversion. 1 year of plumbing experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
