Job Description:
Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings, using hand tools and power tools. Bends pipe to required angle by use of pipe-bending machine, or by placing pipe over block and bending it by hand Cuts and threads pipe, using pipe cutters, cutting torch, and pipe-threading machine. Assemble and install valves, pipefittings, and pipes composed of metals, such as copper, cast iron, PVC. Join pipe by use of screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulks joints, fills pipe system with water or air and reads pressure gauges to determine whether system is leaking. Install and repair plumbing fixtures.
Job Requirements:
2-5+ years of commercial plumbing experience. Must have active TSBPE Apprentice or Journeyman Plumber license Ability to troubleshoot service issues and construction obstructions. Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking. Must be able to safely use manual and power tools used in the plumbing construction trade. Must have basic hand tools Must be able to work with minimal supervision Must be able to understand blue prints
