Schedule:
Full-Time | 40 hours per week Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated PL01 Journeyman Plumber to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of plumbing experience and be proficient in commercial and residential plumbing systems, including cast iron piping, insulation, and rough-in work. Candidates must be comfortable working independently, coordinating with inspectors, and performing occasional overnight work to meet project schedules and deadlines. This position requires a strong understanding of Washington State plumbing codes, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and the ability to work effectively in both occupied and active construction environments.
Please Note:
A company vehicle is not provided . Candidates must have reliable transportation to and from job sites. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial plumbing systems. Perform rough-in and finish plumbing installations. Work extensively with cast iron DWV systems, copper, PEX, ABS, and PVC piping. Install and repair water distribution systems, drainage systems, fixtures, and equipment. Coordinate and communicate with city and county inspectors during inspections. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and plumbing plans. Install pipe insulation and ensure compliance with project specifications. Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics. Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal plumbing codes. Complete required documentation, job reports, and inspection records. Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades. Maintain a safe and organized work environment. Participate in occasional overnight and off-hours work as required by project schedules.
Qualifications Required:
Valid Washington State PL01 Journeyman Plumber License . 5-7 years of plumbing experience. Experience working directly with plumbing inspectors and inspection processes. Strong cast iron installation and repair experience. Experience installing and working around pipe insulation systems. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Knowledge of Washington State plumbing codes and regulations. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work. Reliable transportation to job sites. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Preferred Commercial construction experience. Service plumbing experience. Experience leading apprentices and coordinating crews. Backflow certification or additional plumbing certifications. Schedule Full-time Monday-Friday Occasional evenings and overnight shifts required Overtime opportunities available based on workload and project demands Physical Requirements Frequently lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Work in crawl spaces, attics, trenches, rooftops, and mechanical rooms. Stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work on ladders for extended periods. Work in varying weather conditions and active construction environments.
