Position Summary This position performs maintenance and repair of all plumbing systems of state-owned facilities as assigned. The Plumber position is responsible for applying basic plumbing fundamentals to plumbing and fire protection systems. Work involves general and specialized plumber work at the journey level of skill and includes layout, assembly, repair, installation and testing of plumbing fixtures, and apparatus in State office buildings and commercial properties. Salary Information This position is in schedule range (04-00) and is represented by the Wisconsin State Building Trades bargaining unit. Rate of pay will be between $50.94 and $52.58 and is determined based on adjusted leave time selected by the employee. A 12-month probationary period is required. Job Details Due to the nature of the position, DOA will conduct background checks on applicants prior to selection. Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants will meet the following: Qualified candidates will be licensed by the State of Wisconsin as an unrestricted Master Plumber OR be licensed by the State of Wisconsin as an unrestricted Journeyman Plumber by the Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS).
