Pump Technician Job Description Join a dynamic service and assembly shop where you will play a critical role as a pump mechanic. You will be responsible for documenting your work meticulously, providing detailed reports on findings, repairs, and recommendations. This role involves building and assembling pumps based on work orders and blueprints, occasionally repairing and overhauling pumps from the field. You will take different aspects of a pump to construct a unique configuration, sometimes fabricating internal pieces to ensure functionality. Responsibilities Build and assemble pumps based on work orders and blueprints. Document work performed, including detailed reports on findings, repairs, and recommendations. Occasionally repair and overhaul pumps from the field. Construct unique pump configurations, fabricating internal pieces as needed. Utilize precision alignment techniques, such as laser alignment, and vibration analysis. Essential Skills 5+ years of experience as a Pump Mechanic in a pump shop. Experience in assembling and repairing rotating equipment. Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical components. Proficiency in reading blueprints. Skill in using calipers, dial indicators, micrometers, and laser alignments. Additional Skills & Qualifications 7+ years of experience as a Pump Mechanic in a pump shop. Comprehensive knowledge of all types of pumps, including vertical and horizontal. Experience with repair, refurbish, overhaul, and dismantle processes. Familiarity with mechanical tools like micrometers, calipers, and more. Light manual machining skills, including drilling and tapping. Why Work Here?
