Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a Submersible Pump Technician to join our team. Experience in electric motors both 3 phase and single phase is preferred. We have been in business 60 years and believe in taking care of our employees. Resulting in extremely low turnover. As a Pump Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various types of electric submersible pumps. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong electrical motor understanding and its components. Mechanical aptitude will be very beneficial in this role. Training of procedures and the industry along with all tools and testing equipment will be provided.
Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pumps and related equipment for our customers and our rental division
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on pumps
  • Diagnose and resolve pump performance issues
  • Perform electrical and mechanical repairs on pumps ranging from 1 hp to a 100hp
  • Keep your work area organized and work with pump manager in stocking parts for repair
  • Create estimates for customers to present to the manager for approval
  • Locate parts not stocked for pumps using existing contacts
  • Work with purchasing on inventory of parts keeping stocked
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge
  • Ability to understand wiring diagrams and electric components
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs. Hoists and lifts are provided at work station
  • Ability to stand for extended periods in work area. Mats, chair and hoists provided.
  • Ability to analyze pump performance data and make recommendations for improvements
  • Proficiency in working with high voltage equipment is required
