Field Technician FireFox Pump Services Odessa, TX Job Details Full-time $18 - $25 an hour 11 days ago Qualifications Outdoor work Oil & gas Industrial equipment troubleshooting Attention to detail Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description Overview Firefox Pump Services is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Oilfield Technician to support field service, inspections, maintenance, and repair operations for oilfield pump systems across the Permian Basin. This role involves hands-on work in both field and shop environments and requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe, reliable operations. Responsibilities Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on oilfield pump systems Assist with power end and fluid end service and repair Identify wear, damage, and operating issues in pump components Support preventative maintenance and condition-monitoring activities Safely remove, install, and replace mechanical components as needed Operate tools and equipment in accordance with safety procedures Document repair findings, service performed, and equipment condition Respond to field service calls and assist with emergency repairs when needed Maintain clean and organized work areas in the field and shop Work closely with technicians and supervisors to complete repairs efficiently Work Environment This is a hands-on position involving both shop and field work in active oilfield environments throughout West Texas and the Permian Basin. Weekend, after-hours, and emergency response work may occasionally be required depending on operational needs.
