Baileyton, AL Essential Job Functions:

Operate a water truck in a safe, and efficient manner to control dust and support quarry production. Operate skid steer to load, unload, and transport materials such as rock, gravel, sand, or crushed stone. Ensure the proper and safe operation of the skid steer by conducting routine pre-operation checks. Monitor and maintain stockpiles of materials, ensuring they are properly stored and organized. Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the quarry site, including cleaning, organizing, and moving material. Perform general labor task, including loading and unloading materials. Support the quarry team in various tasks as directed by supervisors. Operate basic machinery as required (e.g., wheelbarrows, hand tools, and small machines). Operate haul trucks to transport materials from the quarry pit to designated stockpiles, processing areas, or external sites. Ensure trucks are loaded and unloaded safely, avoiding damage to equipment or materials. Conduct daily pre-operation checks on haul trucks, including inspecting tires, fluid levels, brakes, and other vital system. Work with quarry supervisor to optimize routes and material movements. Maintain a high level of quality work at all times Maintain good relationships with Technicians, Foreman, Superintendents, Inspectors, Developers, and other co-workers at all times Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work tasks Perform other duties as assigned Represent and promote Grayson Carter and Son in a professional and honest manner

Job Qualifications/Requirements :

High School Diploma or GED 1+ years of experience operating a skid steer. Previous experience in construction, quarrying, or general labor, is a plus Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) with Tanker endorsement 3+ years of experience driving haul trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles. Ability to obtain any required certifications for specific machinery Ability to communicate and convey information effectively Must be physically able to stand, walk, sit, crouch, kneel, climb, and periodically lift 75 pounds Knowledge of OSHA Standards Ability to obtain Arsenal and FBI Badge required Dependable transportation Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on all job sites as required Work weekends and overtime as needed Committed to attending work each day Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen Grayson Carter and Son Contracting, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
