Job Description

Hardin Construction is a growing construction company committed to quality workmanship, safety, and strong client relationships. Family owned and operated for over 30 years, we continue to be a family-minded company where teamwork, trust, and doing right by each other matter. We are looking for a Crane Rigger (CDL-A) to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with lifting and rigging operations, inspect rigging gear, attach loads to cranes, and support safe, efficient crane setups and takedowns on various job sites.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a crane rigger or in a similar heavy construction role. Proficient in oral and written communication skills High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 1 year of CDL-A driving experience Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
License & Certification:
Class A CDL with acceptable driving record Rigger/Signalman Certifications OSHA 10
Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret lift plans, rigging diagrams, and load charts.
  • Select appropriate rigging equipment based on load type, weight, and lift parameters.
  • Inspect rigging gear and crane attachments daily to ensure safe operation.
  • Communicate with crane operators and signalpersons to coordinate lifts and ensure alignment with safety protocols.
  • Secure and balance loads properly using slings, shackles, chokers, and other rigging hardware.
  • Assist in setting up and dismantling cranes and lifting equipment on job sites.
  • Operate commercial vehicles to transport equipment and rigging gear as needed.
  • Follow OSHA, ASME, DOT, and company-specific safety regulations at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and report any hazards or unsafe conditions.
  • Participate in safety briefings and pre-lift planning meetings.
  • Other duties assigned by the Crane Operator or Supervisor.
