We make pre-cast concrete basement systems.

Overview:

We are seeking a safety conscience individual for loading pre-cast panels, steps, kneewalls, footer pads and miscellaneous items onto flatbed trailers through the use of an overhead crane and manual lifting techniques. This position also cleans and prepares the concrete forms for the next day's use. The successful candidate for this position will report to work at midnight.

Duties:

Break down runs Operate traveling overhead crane to lift, move, and position loads, including but not limited to, precast concrete products and components. Items are moved using hoisting attachments such as hooks, spreader bars, slings or cables Load precast wall panels and other products onto A-frames on flatbed trailers or onto crane truck Inspect crand and lifting devices for defects and notify maintenance or manager of defects or malfunctions Inspect panels for damage as they are loaded onto the trailer Securely strap all items to trailer to ensure safe transportation Verify that items on load slip have been placed on trailer Strip runs to prepare for the layout crew Assist in all aspects of production when shipping duties are completed

Core Competencies:

Must have basic reading and math skills

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the individual will be working in the plant. Individuals may be exposed to noise, overhead cranes, dust, fumes and changing temperatures Job requires use of safety equipment to included, but not limited to, eye protection, hearing protection, work boots, hard hat and gloves

Physical Demands:

Requires lifting of up to 100 pounds with mechanical assistance or team lifting Requires use of both feet when operating a fork lift Requires the ability to stand and walk for an 8 hour shift; longer during periods of overtime Requires frequent bending, pushing and pulling Requires the ability to perform simple & firm grasping with both hans Requires frequent twisting, turning, bending or rotating of the waist, neck, head and wrists Requires the ability to climb ladders Must be able to work at heights of approximately 15 feet from ground level If you are a reliable and safety conscience individual, we encourage you to apply for this position.
