Job Summary:
An Industrial Rigger is responsible for safely moving, lifting, and positioning heavy machinery, equipment, and materials at industrial sites using cranes, hoists, pulleys, and other rigging equipment. The role requires technical expertise and strong safety awareness.
Job Description:
Properly attach and detach loads to cranes by providing support and preparing loads for movement with hand and power tools. Determine proper gear, such as cables, pulleys, and winches, according to load weights and sizes needed for jobs. Communicate with the crane operator using signals, and/or verbally to direct in hoisting weights and sizes needed for jobs. Inspect rigging gear, cranes, and hoisting equipment for wear and safety compliance before and after use. Help control the movement of heavy equipment through a narrow opening Follow OSHA and company safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe work environment and safely move or lift equipment. Perform other duties as assigned
Competencies:
Strong understanding of rigging techniques, load charges, and hand signals. Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy objects and work in challenging environments. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as attention to detail.
Job Requirements:
Must be up-to-date on OSHA safety standards and willing to comply with them. Familiarity with all necessary safety equipment. Able to sit, stand, bend, and lift to 50 lbs regularly Ability to climb ladders and work at heights on scaffolding without issue. Must be reliable, hardworking, and have a team player mentality.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial rigging or heavy equipment moving. Benefits Designed to Work for
