Job Description

Looking for a Certified/Qualified Master Rigger
DETAILED DUTIES
Key Responsibilities Plan and oversee complex lifting and rigging operations Inspect rigging gear, slings, chains, shackles, and lifting equipment Calculate load weights, center of gravity, sling angles, and lift capacities Direct crane operators and rigging crews during lifts Ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, and company safety standards Conduct pre-lift meetings and hazard assessments Read and interpret blueprints, lift plans, and engineering drawings Train and supervise riggers and signal persons Maintain rigging equipment records and inspection logs Stop operations when unsafe conditions exist Required Skills & Qualifications Extensive knowledge of rigging techniques and crane operations Ability to perform load calculations and rigging math Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations Experience with hoists, cranes, slings, spreader bars, and lifting devices Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding environments High school diploma or GED (typical minimum requirement) Common Certifications NCCER Rigger Certification Rigger1-Rigger 2 OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Signal Person Certification Crane/Rigging Safety Training Some jurisdictions require a licensed Master Rigger credential Typical Experience Requirements 5+ years of rigging experience Advanced knowledge of heavy lift operations Previous supervisory or lead rigger experience preferred •
Pay:
$40.00 - $50.00 per hour
