Manufacturing Documentation Specialist Duties:
Create, format, and maintain manufacturing blueprints, process documentation, and production work instructions using established company standards. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and customer requirements to develop accurate manufacturing documentation. Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, visual aids, and process flow documentation. Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, to create, manage, and distribute production documentation and reports. Support engineering and production teams by ensuring documentation is accurate, organized, and revision-controlled. Review technical drawings and manufacturing data to identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements. Maintain document control systems and ensure compliance with quality management requirements. Assist with first article documentation, production records, and manufacturing process validation activities. Generate reports, track production metrics, and maintain documentation databases. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing efficiency, consistency, and quality.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, engineering support, technical documentation, or related environment. Experience creating, editing, and formatting technical documents, work instructions, blueprints, or manufacturing procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical specifications. Strong document management, organization, and revision control skills. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and production workflows. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with engineering, quality, and production teams.
