Responsibilities Assist in the setup and cleanup of roofing job sites, ensuring safety and organization. Handle and transport roofing materials, tools, and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques. Support roofers in installing various roofing systems, including shingles, metal panels, or membrane roofs following blueprints or schematics. Prepare surfaces by performing tasks such as caulking, trim carpentry, or stucco application as needed for roofing projects. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, or construction drawings to aid in accurate installation. Perform general construction duties such as framing, masonry work, or metal stud framing when required on multi-trade projects. Follow safety protocols diligently while working at heights or on scaffolding to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment. Skills Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction site safety practices. Experience reading blueprints, schematics, or construction drawings. Knowledge of roofing materials and installation techniques, including tile laying and restoration methods. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on demanding job sites. Familiarity with related trades such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, welding, or remodeling is a plus. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately. A basic understanding of construction estimating and fabrication processes enhances versatility on-site.
