Position Summary The Digital Templater is responsible for accurately measuring job sites using digital templating technology to create precise layouts for countertop fabrication and installation. This role serves as a critical link between sales, production, and installation teams, ensuring all measurements, specifications, and job details are captured correctly the first time. Key Responsibilities Perform on-site digital measurements of countertops using laser templating equipment (e.g., LT-2D3D, Proliner, or similar systems) Create accurate digital templates for fabrication, including sink placements, cooktops, seams, and edge profiles Review job specifications, drawings, and contracts prior to templating to ensure readiness Communicate with homeowners, builders, and project managers to confirm layout details and expectations Identify and document site conditions, potential issues, and installation challenges Upload and organize digital files into company systems for CNC programming and production Coordinate with CAD programmers, fabrication team, and installation crews to ensure accuracy and efficiency Maintain templating equipment and ensure proper calibration and functionality Follow all safety protocols while working on job sites Qualifications 2+ years of experience in countertop templating, installation, or fabrication (preferred) Experience with digital templating equipment and software strongly preferred Strong understanding of countertop materials (granite, quartz, marble, etc.) Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and construction plans High attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and manage daily schedule/routes Valid driver's license with clean driving record Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching Ability to work in residential and construction environments Work Environment Primarily field-based with travel to residential and commercial job sites Exposure to construction environments, dust, and varying weather conditions Why This Role Matters Accurate templating is the foundation of a successful countertop project.
