Job Description

Job description HAWK Contracting is a premier pavement marking and signage company that works on all levels of projects from streets, parking lots, schools, parking garages, hospital, airports and beyond. We are currently seeking an experienced Pavement Marking Tech (Striper) to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Read and layout per blueprints Prepare, clean, sweep, and layout work area Stripe, paint and maintain lane lines, center lines, crosswalks, turn arrows, stop bars, railroad crossings, parking stalls, curbs, and other pavement markings Operate a variety of equipment (including but not limited to striping vehicles, machinery, and forklifts) in the installation and maintenance of traffic control markings, including paint truck, thermoplastic applicators, paint stripers, and obliteration equipment. Set up and remove construction signs and traffic control items at the job site. Parking block installations- install using both handheld and motorized equipment operate and maintain equipment Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on equipment and refer defects or needed repairs to the supervisor. Keep an accurate inventory of supplies and stencils Handling and storing materials Loading and unloading trucks and hauling and hoisting materials Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed; bringing problems to the attention of the Foreman, Safety Director, or HR Manager Maintaining a clean job site: picking up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards Make, transport, install, remove and other duties as required for installation of SWPPP devices Perform other related duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Legally eligible to work in the United States Daily access to automobile in working condition or adequate alternative transportation. Proof of meeting Arizona State requirements regarding auto licensing, driver's license, and liability insurance, if applicable Ability to pass a drug test - HAWK Contracting is a drug-free environment Ability to pass a criminal background check Ability to work from construction maps and plans, follow layouts specified by customer or engineer Ability to understand (ADA) guidelines for Municipal Specifications Ability to lift to 50 pounds multiple times in a shift Willingness to travel throughout Arizona Ability to work well with others Two years experience in parking lot striping required
