In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining high-quality tile roofing systems on a variety of commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will help ensure durable, weather-resistant roofs that meet safety standards and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize advanced roofing techniques, and contribute to the longevity and aesthetic appeal of buildings. Duties Install, repair, and replace tile roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized fabrication equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and roofing plans to execute precise installations. Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely on construction sites. Use construction estimating skills to determine material needs and project timelines accurately. Apply caulking, trim carpentry, stucco, and masonry techniques to ensure seamless roof finishes and weatherproofing. Conduct site inspections to verify adherence to safety protocols, schematics, and quality standards. Collaborate with team members on framing, metal stud framing, plumbing integration, restoration projects, and remodeling tasks related to roofing structures. Experience Proven experience as a Journeyman Tile Roofer or in a similar construction role with a focus on roofing systems. Strong knowledge of roofing materials, including tile installation methods and waterproofing techniques. Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating processes. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, fabrication, and heavy lifting on construction sites. Familiarity with related trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry, frame carpentry), masonry, plumbing, metal stud framing, drywall (including stucco), and restoration work is highly desirable. Ability to read technical schematics and follow detailed instructions for complex roofing projects.
