Line Striping - Pavement Marking Technician

Overview We are seeking a line striper - Pavement Marking Technician for our crew. As a Pavement Marking Technician, you will perform a wide variety of projects for various clients across South West Florida. Responsibilities Operate pavement marking equipment to apply lines, arrows, symbols, and other traffic markings on roads, parking lots, and other paved surfaces with accuracy and efficiency. Prepare surfaces by cleaning and prepping areas to ensure optimal adhesion of markings. Perform and complete all work in compliance with FDOT, ADA, and quality guidelines, while maximizing production. Coordinate with construction teams to ensure markings are completed according to project specifications and safety standards. Calculate field measurements using engineered plans and/or google earth images. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and site conditions throughout each project. Track and record quantities of pavement markings on each project both manually as well as with screen calculations on machines. Follow all safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Perform standard, preventative maintenance on all pavement marking equipment. Drive company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites. Perform other work-related duties as requested. Requirements Previous experience in pavement marking, highway construction, or a related field, is a plus. Demonstrate mechanical aptitude. Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology, including smart phones and applications. Must have a valid Driver's License Must have a good driving record with no major violations within the last five years or be accepted by the company insurance policy provider to drive vehicles. Must comply with Substance Abuse Policy and DOT Drug Control Program, which includes pre-employment and random drug and/or alcohol testing. Typical physical demands of this job include sitting, standing, walking, climbing, reaching, lifting minimum of 50 lbs., carrying, pushing, pulling, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing, and talking. Must be willing to workdays, nights, weekends, and occasional travel. Exhibit teamwork. Working outdoors with variable temperature and weather conditions. Assist with crack fill team and respective equipment Assist with seal coat team and respective equipment Must have of parking lot and roadway layout experience Ability to read blueprints/plans
