LEAD ROOFING TECHNICIAN - COMMERCIAL RE-ROOF

Atlanta Position Summary:

The Commercial Roofing Lead Technician is responsible for overseeing and executing the installation, maintenance, and repair of various commercial roofing systems. This individual will lead a team of roofing technician (s), ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards. This role requires extensive hands-on experience, leadership skills, and deep knowledge of commercial roofing materials and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and participate in the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, metal, built-up, etc.) Lead, train, and mentor a roofing technician; ensure work is performed safely and efficiently Interpret project specifications, and manufacturer installation instructions Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications Coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and other subcontractors as needed Maintain accurate documentation including job reports, timecards, and material usage Operate and maintain tools and equipment in safe working order Identify and troubleshoot roofing issues; propose effective solutions

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of commercial roofing experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role Proficient in multiple roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, etc.) Strong understanding of safety protocols and OSHA standards Ability to read and interpret construction documents Effective communication and leadership skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights for extended periods Manual dexterity and ability to use roofing tools and equipment safely

Preferred Qualifications:

Manufacturer certifications (e.g., GAF, Carlisle, Firestone, Johns Manville) Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification
