As a 1099 contractor, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on various residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and possess a strong background in roofing and related construction trades. Duties Install, repair, and replace roofing materials using hand tools and power tools efficiently and safely. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and roofing plans to ensure accurate project execution. Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment necessary for roofing projects while adhering to safety standards. Conduct site assessments to determine project scope, materials needed, and safety requirements. Utilize construction estimating skills to determine material quantities and project timelines. Execute related tasks such as caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, metal stud framing, masonry work, plumbing integration, and restoration as needed. Maintain a clean and organized worksite, ensuring all safety protocols are followed throughout the project lifecycle. Skills Extensive experience with roofing installation, repair, and maintenance in both residential and commercial settings. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and heavy lifting equipment. Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to roofing systems. Knowledge of construction estimating processes for material procurement and project planning. Familiarity with related trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry, frame carpentry), masonry, welding, tile laying, plumbing integration, and stucco application. Experience with construction site safety practices and ability to work effectively in various weather conditions. Ability to perform metal stud framing, concrete forming, fabrication tasks, drywall installation (including drywall finishing), caulking techniques, and handyman repairs when necessary.
