Commercial Roofer

Responsibilities Install, repair, and replace various types of commercial roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and roofing plans to ensure precise execution of projects. Prepare surfaces and structures through framing, metal stud framing, or concrete forming to support roofing materials. Conduct site assessments to determine project scope, materials needed, and safety requirements. Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols. Apply caulking, trim carpentry, stucco, and other finishing techniques to ensure a seamless roof installation or repair. Collaborate with team members on restoration projects involving masonry, tile laying, welding, or remodeling tasks as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work site; utilize schematics and technical drawings for accurate installation. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes; participate in safety meetings regularly. Experience Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on roofing or related trades such as carpentry or masonry. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and the ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques. Knowledge of roofing materials, installation methods, and restoration procedures. Prior experience in heavy lifting tasks and working at heights safely is essential. Additional handyman experience or skills in plumbing or tile laying are advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently on construction sites with a strong commitment to safety protocols.
