Commercial Roofer

Summary/Objective:

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Work with crew to complete all aspects of assigned job including tear-off, repairs, installations, and other tasks assigned. Assist with job site cleanup such as trash and debris control. Participate in trainings including on the job training and companywide mandatory trainings. Perform work that meets the company standard of having quality, watertight, productive, and safe work. Completes quality detailed work including heat welds, pipe boots, etc. Mentor less-experienced crew members on intermediate commercial roofing skills. Introduction to FCS program.

Ability to follow safety guidelines in accordance with Mahaney, a Tecta America Company, LLC. Safety Policies. Ability to work various hours/schedules while maintaining excellent attendance. Willingness and ability to learn new tasks. Ability to work with diverse teams with a mutual level of respect. Ability to follow instructions. Solves informal leadership challenges with other team members. Excellent tape measure and mathematical skills relevant to level of service. Maintain required tools and personal protective equipment needed to perform the job. Ability to understand and communicate in either English or Spanish. Must be able to pass pre-employment physical, agility test, and drug screen. A valid driver's license is preferred. NRCA's TRAC program completion within 90 days of accepting position. Ability to inspect tools and equipment for proper use.

Experience:

At least 2 years, or equivalent, of Commercial Roofing experience is required. Forklift experience and certification required.

Working Conditions:

The position will be performed outdoors, and weather conditions will be a huge factor as work will occur in the heat, cold, rain, snow, etc. This position will be exposed to dusty and dirty conditions as well as hazardous materials. Work is done at elevated surface levels.
