Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Scaffold Builder and play a vital role in creating safe, efficient, and high-quality work environments on diverse construction sites. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and dismantling scaffolding structures that support various building and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that work platforms are secure and accessible, enabling teams to perform their tasks safely and effectively. This position offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects while honing your skills in construction safety, blueprint reading, and equipment operation. Responsibilities Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures according to project specifications and safety standards Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine scaffold placement and configuration Inspect scaffolding for stability, safety, and compliance throughout the project duration Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment necessary for scaffold assembly and site preparation Collaborate with construction managers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of scaffolding into ongoing work Maintain a clean and organized work area around scaffolding sites to promote safety and efficiency Follow all safety protocols related to working at heights, fall protection, and equipment handling Experience Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on scaffold building or related tasks Familiarity with construction management practices and estimating processes Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and understanding technical drawings Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and fabrication techniques Knowledge of various construction disciplines such as masonry, carpentry (including trim carpentry), roofing, concrete finishing, drywall installation (including plastering), glazing (glass installation), tile laying, flooring installation, welding, restoration work, hardscape installation, caulking, door hanging, framing carpentry, cabinetry installation, stucco application, concrete forming, masonry work, roofing systems including shingles or metal roofing—plus experience with construction painting or remodeling projects is a plus Ability to identify potential hazards on-site and implement appropriate safety measures Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members across different trades This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to contribute their skills in a fast-paced environment while advancing their careers in the construction industry.
