Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Roofer/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction with specific experience in roofing and related tasks. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. As a Roofer/Laborer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our roofing projects. Duties Perform roofing installation, repair, and maintenance tasks using various materials such as shingles, tiles, and metal. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and installing roofing materials. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate project execution. Assist in concrete forming, masonry work, and other general labor tasks as needed on construction sites. Engage in carpentry work including frame carpentry, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing. Conduct restoration projects that may involve caulking, stucco application, and tile laying. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards. Perform heavy lifting and physical labor as required on job sites. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience in construction with a focus on roofing preferred. Familiarity with construction estimating techniques is a plus. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing and general construction tasks. Previous construction site experience is essential for understanding job site dynamics. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Skills in concrete forming, fabrication, plumbing, masonry, remodeling, welding, and maintenance person tasks are highly desirable. Strong physical condition with the ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly. Excellent teamwork skills with a commitment to safety practices on the job site.
