Shingle installer

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Shingle Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing roofing shingles on residential and commercial buildings, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, construction materials, and the ability to work efficiently on various project sites. Experience with construction estimating, blueprint reading, and the use of hand and power tools is highly valued. Responsibilities Install roofing shingles following project specifications and safety protocols Prepare roof surfaces by removing old materials and inspecting structural integrity Use hand tools, power tools, and roofing equipment to complete installations efficiently Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate application of materials Measure and cut shingles and other roofing materials to fit designated areas Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely throughout the workday Assist with related tasks such as caulking, trim carpentry, or stucco work as needed Maintain a clean and organized worksite, adhering to safety standards at all times Collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule and within scope Experience Prior experience in roofing installation or related construction fields preferred Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and schematics beneficial Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, metal stud framing, masonry, welding, tile laying, and other construction trades advantageous Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety and efficiency Handyman experience or background in restoration, framing carpentry, or remodeling is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required for roofing projects Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and ability to work at heights confidently
