Full Job Description Planning :
Installation Department Position•Fireplace Installer Job Description As a Fireplace Installer, you provide safe, effective delivery and installation of our products in residential and commercial settings. Customers are typically thrilled when you arrive at their home or business, knowing you are performing one of the most important steps in their home improvement project•installing the product. Products we install include but are not limited to, fireplaces, stoves, inserts, barbeque grills and fire pits.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning Coordinate with sales department in planning timely and efficient installation of our products Request equipment and supplies to maintain inventory and ensure availability of required items Maintain tools, supplies and equipment to ensure they are in safe operating condition for all jobs Installation Expertise Install hearth and backyard related products according to manufacturer specifications and codes Maintain a working knowledge of all core products offered by our company Construction Framing and carpentry work to meet the installation and project needs while meeting local building codes Sheet-rocking and insulating job site area to meet installation needs Roof work to include the proper installation of flashings and roof terminations Collaboration Work with fellow tradesman to successfully complete their work regarding our products • Documentation Prepare and submit written job sheets to accounting for billing Communicate to supervisor any known hazard or risks requiring attention Other Responsibilities Keep accurate maintenance log of assigned work vehicle and request maintenance and repairs as needed. Maintain NFI Certification in a minimum of two areas (Gas/Wood/Pellet) Engage in training to upgrade skills and knowledge as job conditions change
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications Familiar with residential construction practices Demonstrated experience with power tools Preferred knowledge of chimney and flue installation Education•High School Grad Must possess own basic carpentry tools Clean Driving Record Abilities Able to read blueprints Organize and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner Work in a positive manner and come up with prompt solutions when a problem occurs Physical Requirements Ability to lift 80 pounds for 50 feet is required. Comfortable working on ladders, roofs (at heights of up to 60 feet) and in confined spaces or on hands and knees Ability to crawl for distances of up to 50 feet Our Culture From the final cleanup to the victory photo, we celebrate our successes as a team.
