The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, safety awareness, and a willingness to learn new techniques. This position is essential in ensuring the durability and integrity of roofing structures, directly impacting the safety and satisfaction of our clients. Duties Assist with the installation of roofing materials, including shingles, metal panels, membranes, and other systems according to project specifications. Prepare job sites by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety equipment to ensure secure working conditions. Handle hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and install roofing components. Support the application of waterproofing and sealing materials such as caulking to prevent leaks. Assist with surface preparation tasks including cleaning, framing, or repairing existing structures before roofing installation. Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining high safety standards. Perform general site cleanup and organize materials to promote an efficient workflow. Support other construction activities such as framing, siding, or insulation as needed. Requirements Prior experience working on construction sites with exposure to roofing or related trades preferred. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in roofing and general construction. Basic understanding of blueprint reading and schematics relevant to roofing projects. Knowledge of safety protocols related to working at heights and operating heavy equipment. Ability to follow instructions precisely and work effectively within a team environment. Physical stamina and strength to perform demanding manual labor in various weather conditions. Additional skills such as plumbing, electrical experience, or carpentry are advantageous but not mandatory. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to OSHA standards and company policies.
