Re-Entry Training Instructor (Trades) Mountain View Vocational Institute New Mexico — travel to correctional facilities statewide • Full-time, 1099 contractor (rotation)

$1,000 - $1,500 per week + expenses About Mountain View Vocational Institute Mountain View Vocational Institute has been training tradespeople in El Paso for over a decade. We are a TWC-licensed career school offering CDL, heavy equipment, NCCCO crane, welding, construction, and culinary programs. Through our prison re-entry programs, we bring hands-on trade training into New Mexico correctional facilities, giving people a real, paid path to employment on release. We are growing and adding re-entry training instructors to expand this work. The Role You will deliver hands-on trade training to incarcerated and re-entering students inside New Mexico correctional facilities, preparing them for real employment when they get out. You will teach in your trade area — construction, CDL, HEO, roofing, and more — on a rotating schedule across major facilities throughout the state. What You Will Do Deliver hands-on training in your trade(s): construction, CDL, HEO, roofing, and more Travel to major correctional facilities throughout New Mexico Work a rotation of 3-4 weeks on / 2 weeks off Prepare students for employment and a successful transition on release Maintain training records and student documentation Uphold a safety-first, structured training environment at all times What You Need Strong, verifiable hands-on experience in one or more trades (construction, CDL, HEO, roofing, etc.) Willingness and ability to travel to and work inside New Mexico correctional facilities on a rotating schedule Must be able to pass a background check and obtain the required clearance to work inside New Mexico correctional facilities Strong communication skills and patience working with students of varied backgrounds and experience levels Reliable, punctual, and committed to student success Preferred Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience Experience in correctional, re-entry, or workforce-development settings Bilingual English/Spanish Skills across multiple trades Compensation and Benefits Full-time, 1099 independent contractor position $1,000-$1,500 per week, paid for the weeks you work Travel and expenses covered Rotation schedule: 3-4 weeks on, 2 weeks off Meaningful work giving people a real second chance and a path to a career How to Apply Send your resume, or just call or text us to talk.
