In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various roofing systems on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Your expertise will ensure roofs are durable, weather-resistant, and built to the highest standards of safety and quality. Duties Measure and assess roofing projects using blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine materials needed and project scope Install new roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening Repair or replace damaged roofing components, including shingles, tiles, metal panels, or membrane systems Prepare surfaces by performing tasks such as framing with metal studs or wood, applying caulking or sealants for waterproofing, and performing heavy lifting to handle materials safely Conduct inspections on completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications Assist in restoration projects by removing old roofing materials and preparing surfaces for new installations Collaborate with other construction professionals such as carpenters, masons, plumbers, and welders to coordinate project tasks efficiently Skills Extensive experience with construction estimating to accurately determine project costs and material needs Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and fabrication equipment used in roofing applications Strong knowledge of roofing materials including shingles, metal panels, stucco finishes, tile laying, and membrane systems Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings for precise installation guidance Skilled in framing carpentry, trim carpentry, masonry, concrete forming, plumbing integration, welding, and tile installation as needed for comprehensive roofing projects Experience with heavy lifting techniques safely managing large or heavy materials on-site Familiarity with restoration processes involving roof repairs after storm damage or wear-and-tear Knowledge of schematics related to building systems such as HVAC or electrical components impacting roofing structures Hands-on experience in remodeling projects requiring metal stud framing or stucco application Strong problem-solving skills with a handyman approach to troubleshoot issues during installation or repair phases Join us if you're passionate about craftsmanship in construction!
