Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Painter to join our vibrant construction and renovation team. As a Painter, you will play a vital role in transforming spaces through expert painting techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help bring client visions to life while maintaining safety and efficiency on the job site. Duties Prepare surfaces meticulously by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and specialty coatings using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools for efficient coverage. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately determine project scope, color schemes based on color theory principles, and specific surface requirements. Perform residential and commercial painting tasks across renovation, restoration, remodeling, and new construction sites while adhering to safety protocols. Execute specialized tasks including stucco application, masonry finishing, drywall installation (including trim carpentry), fixture installation, and concrete finishing as needed. Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project requirements accurately and complete work within designated timelines. Maintain tools and equipment in excellent condition; operate power tools safely; perform minor repairs or adjustments when necessary. Collaborate with carpenters, masons, welders, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution on construction sites. Assist with maintenance tasks around the site or facility to support ongoing operations or renovation efforts. Qualifications Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting with a solid understanding of construction site procedures. Skilled in using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless systems), caulking guns, and power tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of construction estimating processes for material needs and project planning. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately; familiarity with schematics related to fixtures or structural elements is a plus. Strong understanding of color theory for selecting appropriate paint types and finishes that meet aesthetic goals. Experience with plastering, stucco application, masonry work, framing carpentry (including trim carpentry), restoration projects, and remodeling is highly desirable. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations; familiarity with construction schematics is advantageous. Physical ability to perform demanding tasks such as lifting heavy materials or working at heights; comfortable working outdoors or in confined spaces.
