In this energetic role, you will assist skilled roofers in installing, repairing, and maintaining various roofing systems. Duties Assist with the installation and repair of roofing materials using hand tools and power tools Prepare job sites by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety equipment Carry and lift heavy roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, or tiles safely and efficiently Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and ensure accurate installation Support with surface preparation including cleaning, sealing, caulking, and minor repairs Help with framing, metal stud framing, or concrete forming as needed for roofing structures Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly Experience Prior construction site experience or hands-on work in roofing or related trades preferred but not required Familiarity with hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, and measuring tapes Basic understanding of blueprint reading and schematics for construction projects Experience with power tools including drills, saws, grinders, and welding equipment is a plus Knowledge of roofing materials like shingles, metal panels, tiles, stucco or masonry beneficial Ability to perform heavy lifting safely over extended periods Some handyman experience or general construction skills such as carpentry or remodeling are advantageous This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to build their career in construction.
