In this role, you will support skilled roofers by preparing materials, assisting with installation tasks, and ensuring safety standards are maintained on-site. Duties Assist roofing crews with the setup and breakdown of work sites, including material handling and organization Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely under supervision to support roofing installation and repair tasks Prepare surfaces by cleaning, measuring, and marking for accurate cuts and placements based on blueprints or schematics Support the installation of roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, or membrane systems while adhering to safety protocols Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment to ensure efficient workflow across the job site Aid in the inspection of work areas for quality control, safety hazards, and adherence to project specifications Maintain a clean work environment by disposing of debris, organizing tools, and ensuring all safety gear is used properly Qualifications Prior experience in construction or roofing is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques such as blueprint reading or schematics is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights when necessary Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and OSHA standards is a plus Basic understanding of related trades such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or remodeling can be beneficial Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills on the job Valid driver's license or reliable transportation is preferred for site access Join us as a Roofing Assistant and be part of a vibrant team dedicated to craftsmanship and safety!
