Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Roofing Contractor to complete a partial residential roof replacement on a two story home. The project consists of removing and replacing approximately 600 square feet of existing asphalt shingles on the upper roof section only. The ideal candidate will have experience with tear offs, underlayment installation, flashing, architectural asphalt shingle installation, and jobsite safety. This is a short-term project. Applicants should have their own tools, transportation, and the ability to provide photos or references from previous roofing projects. If you take pride in your work, communicate well, and can complete the project professionally and on schedule, we'd like to hear from you. Responsibilities Perform complete tear off of existing asphalt shingles and underlayment on the designated second-story roof section. Inspect roof decking after tear-off and report any signs of damage, rot, soft spots, or structural concerns. Install roofing underlayment, ice and water shield (where applicable), drip edge, starter strips, and flashing. Install approximately 600 square feet of architectural asphalt shingles according to manufacturer specifications. Install ridge cap shingles and replace one plumbing vent boot/flashing. Ensure proper shingle alignment, exposure, fastening patterns, and weatherproofing. Protect landscaping, siding, windows, and surrounding property during construction. Maintain a clean and organized jobsite throughout the project. Remove roofing debris and dispose of materials properly. Clean gutters impacted by roofing work. Take before, during, and after photos of the project.
