Duties Install new roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to ensure precise and secure applications. Repair and maintain existing roofs by replacing damaged materials, applying caulking, and performing restoration work to extend roof lifespan. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute roofing projects aligned with design specifications. Conduct heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal panels, and framing components safely and efficiently on construction sites. Utilize carpentry skills including trim carpentry, framing, and metal stud framing to support roof structure assembly. Apply roofing materials like tile, stucco, or masonry with attention to detail for seamless finishes. Perform site inspections to ensure safety compliance, quality standards, and proper installation techniques throughout each project. Experience Proven construction site experience with a focus on roofing projects or related trades such as carpentry or masonry. Familiarity with construction estimating processes to assess project scope and material needs accurately. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication tools essential for roofing tasks. Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings related to roofing systems and structural components. Experience with restoration work including waterproofing, caulking, tile laying, and heavy lifting on various construction sites. Hands-on experience in remodeling or handyman roles that involve plumbing, framing carpentry, or metal stud framing is a plus.
