Drake is seeking dependable, hardworking Laborers to join our highway construction team in De Kalb, Texas. This position plays a critical role in supporting roadway construction operations by performing a variety of manual labor tasks and assisting crews in maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive job site. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with general highway and roadway construction activities. Perform manual labor tasks including shoveling, raking, digging, site cleanup, and material handling. Assist equipment operators, foremen, and supervisors as directed. Load, unload, and move construction materials, tools, and equipment. Prepare and maintain work zones and job sites. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and TxDOT requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Perform other duties as assigned to support project operations. Qualifications Previous construction or highway construction experience preferred but not required. Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull construction materials and equipment. Dependable transportation and reliable attendance required. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or night shifts as project needs require. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Strong commitment to workplace safety. Physical Requirements Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb. Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain. Ability to work near heavy equipment and active roadway traffic.
