Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our dynamic construction and manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, installing, and maintaining sheet metal components across various projects. Your expertise in blueprint reading, and mechanical assembly will ensure precision and quality in every task. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your technical skills to deliver exceptional results. Duties Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and installation processes. Measure, cut, bend, assemble, and install sheet metal components using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment. Operate rigging equipment such as forklifts to lift and position heavy materials safely. Conduct soldering, machining, plasma cutting, and press brake operations as needed for project specifications. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to construction site work and equipment handling. Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects involving mechanical knowledge, assembly tasks, or ductwork installation across diverse construction sites. Qualifications Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety standards and protocols. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Proficient in using hand tools such as power tools, soldering irons, plasma cutters, and press brake machines. Knowledge of rigging operations including forklift operation for material movement. Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes including cutting, bending (press brake), assembly, and installation of ductwork or custom components. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Mechanical knowledge related to machining processes, schematics interpretation, and manufacturing standards like ASME codes & standards. Ability to work effectively in a team environment on construction sites or within manufacturing facilities while maintaining safety compliance.
