F-16 Sheet Metal Mechanic
Job Description:
Skybridge Aviation is seeking experienced F-16 Structures Mechanics to support fighter aircraft maintenance operations in Mesa, Arizona. This role focuses on inspecting, repairing, and maintaining structural components to ensure airworthiness and mission readiness. This is a direct-hire opportunity offering competitive pay, strong benefits, and long-term career growth. The company will cover the cost for qualified candidates to obtain their FAA A&P license if they do not currently have one. No personal tools are required to start.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform structural repairs, modifications, and maintenance on F-16 aircraft Inspect aircraft structures, components, and surfaces for damage such as cracks, corrosion, dents, or fatigue Remove and replace defective structural components including panels, bulkheads, skins, frames, and stringers Perform sheet metal repairs, drilling, riveting, bonding, and fastening in accordance with technical data Read and interpret technical orders, blueprints, engineering drawings, and structural repair manuals Conduct corrosion control and prevention procedures Perform structural alignments and fit checks to ensure proper installation and aircraft integrity Use precision measuring tools to verify tolerances and structural dimensions Assist with fabrication of structural components as required Operate support equipment and tools used in structural repair and modification Coordinate with engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance teams Perform additional duties as assigned to support aircraft readiness

Qualifications:
Hands-on structural/mechanical experience on F-16 aircraft required Minimum experience: Level 7 or equivalent aircraft structures experience High School Diploma or GED required FAA A&P License preferred but not required Candidates without an A&P must be willing to obtain certification within 180 days of hire (company paid)
