Job Summary MODA Elevator Interiors is seeking a skilled Metal Shop Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will fabricate sheet metal parts, design simple flat pattern layouts for formed parts, and operate a variety of metalworking equipment used in the production of custom elevator interior systems. This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Alameda metal fabrication shop and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work. This position reports directly to the Metal Shop Lead and requires a strong commitment to craftsmanship, quality, safety, and teamwork. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing precise, high-quality work while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Accurately use measurement tools such as tape measures and calipers. Fabricate parts from engineering drawings, including designing flat patterns for formed components. Operate all equipment safely and in accordance withestablished safety guidelines and company policies. Safely operate the following equipment, ensuring proper personal protective equipment (PPE) are always used: Mechanical Shear CNC Press Brake TIG/MIG Welders Drill Press Mechanical and Pneumatic Punch and Die Plasma Cutting Torch Safely operate a forklift, adhering to all safety rules and load limits. Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent hazards. Report any unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions immediately to the Metal Shop Lead. Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by the Metal Shop Lead.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience working with sheet metal. Ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and a strong understanding of shop safety practices. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Positive and professional attitude. Ability to work collaboratively with team members and maintain a positive, professional attitude. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to occasionally lift and carry items weighing 70+ pounds, with assistance as required.

Work Schedule:

This is an on-site position located in Alameda, California. Typically, Monday•Friday, 5:00 AM•1:30 PM but may vary. 40 regular hours per week. Opportunity for Saturday work and/or overtime.

Salary:

$30•$50 per hour depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
