The Fabricator will be responsible for assembling, welding, and fabricating metal components and structures in accordance with technical specifications, blueprints, and safety standards. This role is essential in delivering high-quality metal products for various projects, ensuring precision, durability, and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with various fabrication tools and welding techniques, and experience working on construction sites or manufacturing facilities. Duties Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate metal components. Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding to join metal parts securely. Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and sheet metal equipment to cut, shape, and assemble materials. Measure dimensions precisely using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure fabrication accuracy. Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks. Fabricate ductwork, piping, structural steel, and other metal assemblies following ASME codes & standards. Utilize schematics and blueprints to guide fabrication processes while adhering to safety protocols. Engage in machining operations such as pipe threading or soldering as required for specific projects. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while inspecting finished products for quality assurance. Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and support project deadlines through efficient work practices. Requirements Proven experience working on construction sites or manufacturing environments as a fabricator or similar role. Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding techniques, with knowledge of welding processes. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings. Strong mechanical knowledge of fabrication processes including sheet metal work, pipe threading, plasma cutting, and press brake operations. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, forklifts, and machining equipment safely. Experience with rigging techniques for lifting and positioning heavy materials. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to fabrication work. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining safety standards. Valid certifications or training in welding (such as AWS certification) are preferred but not mandatory.
