Sheet Metal Fabricator / Helper

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Fabricator / Helper to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will assist in fabricating high-quality sheet metal components using a variety of advanced tools and machinery. Duties Assist in setting up and operating CNC laser cutting machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and plasma cutters to shape sheet metal with precision. Support the fabrication process by handling hand tools, tooling, and press brake machines to bend and form metal sheets accurately. Read and interpret detailed blueprints and technical drawings to ensure parts meet design specifications. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges for quality inspection and measurement verification. Help with welding tasks, including MIG, TIG, or arc welding, ensuring strong, clean joints in fabricated components. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols involving cranes, forklifts, and electrical discharge machining equipment. Assist with assembly of fabricated parts into finished products while ensuring adherence to quality standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives by maintaining equipment calibration and reporting any issues promptly. Skills Proficiency in operating CNC laser cutting machines, plasma cutters, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and press brake machines. Strong mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes and sheet metal fabrication techniques. Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Skilled in using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection. Knowledge of welding techniques including MIG, TIG, or arc welding for joining metal components securely. Familiarity with safety procedures involving cranes, forklifts (certification preferred), and electrical discharge machining equipment. Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and quality checks during fabrication processes. Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards for precise manufacturing tolerances. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards. Pay:

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
