Job Description

Job Summary:
The Sheet Metal Duct Installer is responsible for installing, assembling, and securing HVAC ductwork systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings. This role requires reading blueprints, measuring and cutting sheet metal materials, and ensuring all duct systems are installed according to project specifications, safety standards, and local building codes.
Key Responsibilities:
Install HVAC ductwork, fittings, dampers, and related components. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings. Measure, cut, assemble, and hang sheet metal duct systems. Seal and insulate ductwork as required. Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely. Ensure all installations comply with company standards and local codes. Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades on job sites. Perform quality checks and troubleshoot installation issues. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Load, unload, and transport materials as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience installing HVAC ductwork and sheet metal systems preferred. Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings. Knowledge of HVAC installation methods and industry standards. Skilled in the use of hand and power tools. Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Valid driver's license preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting. Ability to work in varying weather conditions and construction environments. Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials and equipment throughout the workday.
Preferred Certifications:
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification. HVAC or Sheet Metal apprenticeship training. Relevant trade certifications are a plus.
