HVAC Sheet Metal Fabricator Position Summary:
The HVAC Sheet Metal Fabricator is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and production of sheet metal components used in HVAC systems. This role requires the ability to read blueprints, operate manual machinery, and ensure quality workmanship while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine project specifications Set up and operate manual fabrication equipment Perform sheet metal forming, cutting, and assembly using tools such as shears, chop saws, and hand drills Measure, cut, and shape metal materials to precise specifications Follow detailed work instructions to complete all phases of sheet metal fabrication Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met Maintain a clean and organized work area Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies
Qualifications:
Experience in sheet metal fabrication or production environment preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints Basic math skills for measurements and calculations Experience with manual machine setup and operation Strong attention to detail and quality
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods Frequent bending, lifting, and repetitive motions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
