Full Job Description Now Hiring:

Shop Lead - Aerospace Manufacturing Indy Aerospace is growing and looking for an experienced Shop Lead/Fabrication to join our team. If you have a strong background in aerospace manufacturing and leadership on the shop floor, we want to hear from you. High School education, or a GED is required. A minimum 2 years of diversified aviation sheet metal experience is required This role is responsible for shaping and forming metal sheets and plates according to precise specifications. Press brake machines utilize significant force to bend, fold, or shape metal into various angles and configurations. The operator sets up the machine by inputting the required measurements and angles, positions the metal piece accurately, and then controls the press brake to perform the bending operation. This role demands a keen understanding of metalworking principles, equipment operation, and quality assurance to produce accurately bent components used in a range of industries. We currently have positions on day shift. 7-3:30pm

What You'll Do:

Lead day-to-day shop operations and support production flow Supervise and mentor team members Ensure work is completed to aerospace standards and quality requirements (AS9100) Read and interpret complex aerospace drawings and specifications Coordinate with quality, engineering, and management teams Drive efficiency, accountability, and on-time delivery

Prior leadership or lead experience in a shop environment Strong knowledge of sheet metal, fabrication, and forming processes Ability to read prints, understand specs, and manage workflow Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety Why Indy Aerospace?
