Job duties and responsibilities include:

Safely operates the brake press, hydro press, sander, buffer, bench grinder and various hand tools. Reads blueprints, sketches, mylars, and follows verbal instructions. Assists in receiving and storing material and supplies. Repairs and modifies equipment, with instructions from supervisor. Keeps workplace clean and organized.

Documentation:

Completion of work orders; identify time and material spent on project. Performs occasional tasks outside of job description in support of the MAX Team's mission. Sweep floors, clean equipment and machines, take out shop garbage and recycling on a regular schedule. Studies blueprints, sketches, sequence of operations, and set up requirements Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts as required Starts and observes operations to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance conditions and adjusts machine as required Verifies conformance or finished work-piece to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools as The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 3 years knowledge of blue prints, operating brake press and hydro press. Previous hand forming experience is highly desirable.
