Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator and TIG Welder with at least five years of hands-on expertise. This role involves fabricating and welding sheet metal components with precision, adhering to strict safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring mechanical knowledge, strong fabrication skills, and a passion for craftsmanship to our dynamic team. Responsibilities Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and welding processes Fabricate sheet metal parts using hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment Perform TIG welding on various metals, including welding techniques, ensuring strong, clean welds that meet ASME codes & standards Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure precise dimensions and tolerances in all work Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks Conduct pipe threading, soldering, plasma cutting, and assembly of fabricated components as required Follow safety protocols diligently while working on construction sites or manufacturing environments Requirements Minimum of five years' experience in sheet metal fabrication and TIG welding within a manufacturing or construction setting Proficiency in TIG welding, and welding techniques Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and mechanical drawings Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and press brake machines Experience with ductwork fabrication, pipe threading, plasma cutting, and machining processes Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements and material estimations Familiarity with ASME codes & standards related to metal fabrication and welding practices Construction site experience is highly preferred for understanding project requirements on-site TIG weld test required at interview. $24-29/hr starting pay based on experience!
