In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw sheet metal materials into precise, high-quality components. Your expertise will ensure that products meet strict specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Duties Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine fabrication requirements. Light gauge architectural sheet metal fabricator. Must be hard working and self motivated. Pay based on experience level. Hours generally 6:30am - 3:00pm Heated and air-conditioned shop. Fabricating light gauge usually 24 or 22 gauge sheet metal items for flat roof trim. Measure and inspect finished products with precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure adherence to quality standards. Perform quality inspections throughout the fabrication process, identifying defects or deviations from specifications for immediate correction. Safely operate material handling equipment including forklifts and cranes to move raw materials and finished parts within the workspace. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Qualifications Experience preferred but not required for the right person in sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of machining processes. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings. Mechanical aptitude combined with basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations. Familiarity with tooling setup, calibration of precision instruments like micrometers and calipers, and quality inspection procedures. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts (certification preferred), and other manufacturing equipment safely. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced production setting.
