Job Description
Overview Join our manufacturing team as a Sheet Metal Mechanic and become a vital contributor to precision fabrication and assembly processes. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to produce high-quality components and assemblies. Hours are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Mon-Fri. Duties Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately fabricate precision sheet metal parts. Operate a variety of machinery including CNC Pega, Amada press brakes, and assembly equipment to fabricate sheet metal components and assemblies. Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality of finished parts. Perform assembly tasks to join fabricated components according to specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety protocols are followed during operation of machinery and tools. Skills Proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical documentation. Hands-on experience with fabrication machines and processes. Familiarity with CNC Pega setup and operation, press brakes, and tooling selection for various fabrication tasks. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to tolerances Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues quickly. Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members on complex fabrication projects.
