In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and maintaining sheet metal components used across various industrial applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, and experience operating a range of manufacturing tools and machinery. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality production processes while adhering to strict safety standards. The successful applicant will be instrumental in ensuring precision, efficiency, and safety in all fabrication activities. Duties Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to accurately fabricate sheet metal parts. Set up and operate machinery including press brake machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, plasma cutters, CNC laser cutting equipment, and stamping presses. Perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure component quality. Execute machining operations such as CNC programming, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and tooling setup for various fabrication tasks. Conduct welding and assembly of sheet metal components following safety standards and quality specifications. Utilize hand tools and fabrication equipment to cut, bend, shape, and assemble sheet metal parts. Maintain equipment including cranes and forklifts safely during material handling and fabrication processes. Inspect finished products for quality compliance through measurement verification and visual inspection. Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with team members on continuous process improvements to enhance productivity and quality. Skills Proficiency in operating manufacturing machinery such as press brakes, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, plasma cutters, CNC laser cutters, stamping presses, and EDM equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Experience with CNC programming and machining tool setup. Skilled in welding techniques relevant to sheet metal fabrication. Knowledge of measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments for quality control. Familiarity with safety standards in manufacturing environments. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and tolerances. Competence in using hand tools for fabrication tasks. Understanding of tooling setup, machine calibration, and process optimization. Experience in assembly processes involving sheet metal components. Ability to operate cranes and forklifts safely during material handling activities. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality inspection procedures. This role is essential for maintaining high standards of craftsmanship within our manufacturing operations.
